The Mick Taylor Charity Shield
On 23rd May, which would have been Mick's 65th brithday, a small gathering played
for the above trophy on a blistering hot day. At the end of a relaxed and friendly
competition the results were as under:
Winners: Hearty - Vanessa and Anthony Strudwick - 5 wins +37
Runners Up: Kimmo - Kim Elcome and Ray Austen -4 wins + 19
Entries, raffle and tea donations plus a generous "unable to attend" donation from
John Edwards (thanks John) resulted in a total of £136.06 for the British Heart Foundation
- not at all bad for such a small competition.
Many thanks to everyone who donated raffle prizes, also to family members for their
help on the day.
Special thanks to Pam for helping to set up and run the competition. Didn't we three
women make a grand job of erecting the gazebo in the morning? It helped that one
of us was a Guider but Mick would have been proud of us!
>Hi Ray
<Just thought you might like to have this brilliant piece of news that Dean Seville
